At the heart of EVOS fl is its unique patented LED light cube
(US Patent 7,502,164). It outputs high intensity over a short light path for maximally efficient fluorophore excitation. Each cube contains an LED, collimating optics, and filters. Light cubes are user-interchangeable, auto-configured by the system, and plug-and-play.
